UV Longpass Filters products block UV rays as they enter the lens. Think of it like sunscreen for your camera. Some old photographic films are very sensitive to UV rays, so if you don't use UV Longpass Filters products, your photos will end up with a blue haze. This is especially common if you're shooting somewhere with a lot of UV rays, like on a sunny day or at high altitudes.

The problem is, modern film and digital sensors are not sensitive to UV light. It doesn't affect them like it does with older movies.
